The hot blooded locals can be a real support in getting to know better this place which eventually you’ll get to love it.

Resting on the pacific beaches with white, gray, pink and black sand can be more than a simple sunbathing and swimming deal. The forests nearby are home for the monkeys, iguanas, exotic birds and many other animals. The pacific beaches are different from the previous ones due to the vast extended lowlands into inlands, this making the beaches to be bordered by dense forests rich in diverse fauna. Costa Rica’s beaches are considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world due to their breathtaking views: rocky shores or smooth sand, splendid palm trees and amazing sea and ocean color. But there’s more to enjoy than the nature itself; the beaches offer a large number of restaurants, water sport hot spots (surfing, scuba diving, sports and deep sea fishing, snorkeling, yachting, etc). Many tourists say that in Guanacaste are the most precious beaches everywhere.

For those who are more active tourists there are the Butterfly Gardens to be visited in Central Valley, Botanical and Tropical Gardens, Alajuela, Cartago, Guanacaste, Heredia, Limon, Puntarenas and San Jose Museums, 60 wildlife refuges, biological reserves like the ones in Cano and Guayabo island.

An attractive characteristic of this country and of international importance are the fifteen wetlands and mangroves of Costa Rica ; they are to be found in Cariari, Lacustrino, Laguna Manquenque, Palustrino, Rio Canas and San Vito islands.

Hosting more than 200 volcanoes only five of them are active: Arenal, Rincon de la Vieja, Irazu, Poas and Turrialba. The most popular volcanoe for tourists is Arenal, Poas and Irazu; the path leading to them is paved and more accessible than the others.

For the avid nature lovers the rainforests here can be gourmet-like. The jungles here are one of the most pristine and wild being the habitat of varied and mixed rare species of insects, birds and plants. The cloud forests and tropical dry forests are all across the country. The path is open to any new and curious tourist.
